Trusted Timestamp Proof for Creative Media

Videos, photos, interview transcripts, and material packages can be timestamped before release, submission, or partner delivery to create public verification links and offline credentials.

Definition

Timestamping collected creative materials means generating fingerprints, trusted time evidence, labels, and credentials for original files and key delivery versions. It complements contracts; it does not replace them.

Recommended workflow

After materials are saved, keep the originals unchanged. An assistant or agent writes concise descriptions and registers each important file with the CLI.

After timestamping completes, export .lanveris credentials and organize public verification links into a delivery package.

What to register

Good candidates include camera originals, edited photos, interview transcripts, subtitle files, final exports, posters, and delivery packages.

Do not register every temporary transcode. Prioritize original materials, milestone versions, and final deliverables.

Before NFT or digital collectible issuance

If a project later does digital issuance, licensing, or publication, Lanveris can provide chain-neutral time evidence, verification links, and evidence packages first.

Issuance, trading, revenue promises, and copyright licensing should be handled by compliant issuers and contracts. Lanveris provides proof and verification only.

Authenticity boundaries

Lanveris proves that these file bytes existed before a trusted time and whether they still match. It does not prove a video was genuinely captured, a photo was not staged, or media was not AI-generated.

For source authenticity, use complementary evidence such as C2PA, device signatures, evidence cameras, contracts, and production records.

FAQ

Can a transcoded video use the original credential?

Usually no. Transcoding changes file bytes and therefore the fingerprint. Register the original video and the final published version separately.

Does this prove a creator or team owns copyright?

Not by itself. It proves that a particular material existed before a trusted time and records the registration label; ownership still depends on facts and contracts.

Can an entire material package be registered?

Yes. You can register a zip package or register important files individually. Individual registration is better for later per-file verification; a zip package is useful for archives, but recompressing it, changing compression settings, file order, or internal timestamps can change its fingerprint.
